Will Eisner was born in 1917 in New York and died Jan. 3, 2005. He was the oldest son of immigrants. He was without a doubt one of the greatest "strip" comic illustrators of our time. He became world famous with his graphic novel The Spirit. In this book Will has brought his art of the graphic novel to an original Jewish story, concerning An Opmakh Mit Got (a contract with God).
