Born in Petach-Tikva, Israel in 1951, David (Israeli nickname: Dudu) Fisher most recently starred on Broadway as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables. He studied under the great cantor, Shlomo Ravitz. After he completed his studies, he worked as a cantor at the Great Synagogue on Allenby Street, Tel Aviv. He is now considered one of the greatest cantors in the world.
